Chilly Start for Early August Morning

A cold front moved through the area during the middle of the week and brought below-normal averages to South Dakota.

During Friday morning, many locations were into the 40s with few spots in the northwest seeing the lower 40s. Up in North Dakota, the National Weather Service Office in Bismarck issued a Frost Advisory for parts of southwest North Dakota as temperatures were forecast to drop as low as 36 degrees, brrrrrrr.

More summer like temperatures are forecast to return about the middle of next week with more 80s than 70s.
