First responders in western South Dakota were called to a couple of semis that flipped over on Interstate 90 on Thursday morning.

Around 3:30am we called South Dakota Highway Patrol to assist with a couple semis that flipped on I90 near Wasta due to treacherous driving conditions. I90 eastbound is currently closed at exit 67.

A clipper system brought a quick hit of snow Wednesday night and into Thursday morning over the west, and behind the system, strong northwest wind gusts up to 55mph.

As of 7:30 am MST, the South Dakota Department of Transportation advised no travel on Interstate 90 from Cactus Flat to Rapid City in Pennington county due to areas of blowing snow along with snow-covered and slippery road conditions.
