Dense fog conditions rolled into parts of north-central South Dakota during the early morning hours on Saturday.
Visibility at the Mobridge Airport was less than a mile starting at 3:00 a.m. CDT and persisted into the early morning. At certain points, it dropped to as little as a quarter of a mile, resulting in reduced travel speed.
The area was under a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service covering all of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation, Cheyenne River Indian Reservation, and back towards the Ipswich, Eureka, Gettysburg, and Pierre areas.
