High Winds, High Fire Danger for Sunday

Strong northwest winds today with gusts up to 40mph across the east and up to 65mph in the west, where High Wind Warnings are in effect. Red Flag Warnings are in effect for high fire danger due to warm temperatures, dry conditions, and strong northwest winds for the southern half of South Dakota.

The warmest weather will be across the southeast with highs into the lower 70s, and the coolest temperatures in the northwest with highs into the upper 40s.

A few isolated rain showers are possible in the north.
