The National Weather Service Offices in Aberdeen and Sioux Falls put out Dense Fog Advisories on Sunday evening for parts of eastern, South Dakota.
In Brookings, the city had dense fog for several hours with visibilities below one mile starting at 8:00 pm on Sunday and going through 3:00 am early Monday morning. The fog then slowly improved in the city going from 1.75 of a mile visibility to 6 miles at 5:00 am.
The dense fog was delayed in Sioux Falls as it slowly rolled into the city at around 10:00 pm and continued through the early morning hours on Monday. Visibility readings at 5:00 am were at 0.75 of a mile but had an improvement at 6:00 am to 3 miles.
The fog will continue to decrease a clipper system will continue to push through the state today.
