Light snow is falling in the west, and northern winds from 10 to 20mph create wintry conditions and a raw day for most of us in South Dakota.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) Saturday morning was reporting scattered slippery spots on many western roads including Interstate 90 from near Kadoka to the Wyoming/South Dakota state line.

The west was not along with those same conditions reported in southeast South Dakota to include Interstate 29 from south of Brookings to the Iowa/South Dakota line.

Northerly winds continue to push cold air southward with Feels Like Temperatures into the teens and 20s below.

We wish we could say this is the last of the cold weather, but even colder temperatures are coming for Monday and Tuesday, with parts of the state under Extreme Cold Watches as forecast Wind Chills could be down to the 40s below zero.
