Saturday's Storms Brought Gusty Winds

Thunderstorms on Saturday brought gusty storm gusts over 60mph, causing one camper to be blown over.




The National Weather Service reports a camper in White River in south-central South Dakota was blown over by a thunderstorm wind gust near 50mph.


The strongest wind report was about 12 miles east of Oelrichs, where a 62mph gust was reported. A gust of 60 mph was also reported about 3 miles southeast of Onida in central South Dakota, and a 59mph gust was reported 3 miles southeast of Pine Ridge in southwest South Dakota.
