Snow Squall Warnings are a brief weather alert issued by meteorologists at the National Weather Service for an area of intense and heavy snowfall. These warnings are highly localized, like weather alerts such as Severe Thunderstorms and Tornado Warnings seen in the summer. When a Snow Squall Warning is issued, expected sudden drops in visibility to whiteout conditions and quick deterioration of road conditions.
