A strong weather system that brought severe thunderstorms across the east also brought winter-like conditions to the west.
Snow amounts were light outside the Black Hills with one inch reported about five miles northeast of Stoneville, SD.

The heaviest snow amounts were found in the hills where just in Wyoming near Sundance, seven inches of snow was reported.

Any snow that remains on the ground will quickly melt as above-normal temperatures will move back into the region.
