A strong thunderstorm in western South Dakota has already dropped monster-sized hail and even a tornado on Sunday afternoon.
Hail to the size of tennis balls, or 2.5 inches in diameter, was reported by a trained weather spotter about 17 miles southwest of Usta in Perkins County.
Shortly later, law enforcement about 11 miles northeast of Opal or 14 miles west of Faith reported a tornado crossing US Highway 212 in Meade County. The storm also dropped golf ball size hail near the same location as the storm continued its track towards the southeast into Dewey County.
