The same storm system that brought widespread rain and thunderstorms to South Dakota brought dangerous storms to our neighbors to the south.
Severe thunderstorms with tornadoes developed over parts of Nebraska and continued over to Iowa, where, at one point, a Tornado Emergency was issued.
Widespread damage has been reported in both states, and survey crews from the National Weather Service will inspect the debris, buildings, and trees to determine the strength of the tornadoes.
More weather stories will be posted when additional information comes out.
