We are tracking light to moderate snowfall reports from Thanksgiving day and into the holiday weekend snow event in parts of South Dakota.
Those across the eastern regions of the state woke up to a light coating of snow on the ground and roadways. The South Dakota Department of Transportation reported slippery conditions in the southeast and back towards the southwest on Saturday morning. The snow event in southwest, South Dakota brought more moderate snows to Fall River County where some locations saw over several inches of snow. The top of the list was about 14 miles southwest of Provo with five inches of new snow. Below are the National Weather Service reports from Friday of snow accumulations.
