A robust weather system is forecast to move into the region, pushing precipitation into our area by Friday afternoon and continuing into Saturday morning. The National Weather Service has already issued Winter Weather Advisories for a couple of counties in southeast South Dakota regarding the chance of wintry precipitation.
Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
